While choosing this hostel we took into account the following criteria: good location, price (including breakfast!) and multiple positive comments, for example this one: "It is the best hostel in the city!" What more could we want!?
(
Snacks: vegetables, fish, cheese and meat
Delicious cheese sulgumi.
Aubergine with nuts filling. Yummy!
We sat at the table and the lady brought us a jug of damashne wine. Mmmm.
(by the way: a jug of 1,5 litre of wine cost 6 Lari = 2,40 EUR)
We ordered the following meals:
- Lobo - (1, 2 EUR) - the famous bean soup served in a clay pot,
- Ostri - (1,3 EUR) - spicy dish of beef with coriander served with georgian bread,
- Khinkali - (0,20 EUR/piece) - famous "sakcs of meat" (mentioned in Batumi)
Lobo - bean soup.
Ostri - spicy beef dish.
After a blissful meal time we moved for a walk around the city...
Characteristic 'openwork' balconies.
The famous bridge - called 'a towel' (opposite of tampon;)
Subway written in Georgian.
(as all foreign names and road signs)
The flea market on 'dry bridge'.
Paintings...
and musical instruments...
Everything!
(inside the car ;)
"The wordrobe car" :) Highly possible that the driver
s t i l l fits in :)
Colourful clock at the Gabriadze Theatre.
So...
there is still the b e s t to come!
The next post: Georgian Military Road to Kazbegi - breathtaking views and places!
Please be patient :)
Thank you!
